[Conqueror/Grasp + Divine]
[Ignite + TP]
Start W. You can take one poke from his Q then W him to get your hp back after his Q is on cooldown. His early game is pretty weak - so you should have control over the wave. You can take E level 2 and hookshot onto him when he should still be level 1. All you have to do in this matchup is take small trades with your grasp and try not to all in him when he his above 50% hp. If you ever hookshot onto him while he has his abilities off cooldown he can easily kill you after he lands his W so be careful. During the early game just look to W him for hp and walk up to Q him or hookshot onto him for a short aa-Q-Q trade while his Q is on cooldown. Once you have your Divine Sunderer you pretty much win and he should be very scared. Walking side to side when his Q and E are up can help you dodge his Q. When his Q2 and E are up, you can walk towards him because most Aatrox players will expect you to walk away and they'll miss their Q2 sweet spot.
During an all in you should look to dodge his 3rd Q with your R. Also, you can cancel the pull of his W with your E as long as your E is still in the air.
Akali
[Grasp + /Divine Sunderer]
[Flash/Ignite + TP]
Start W level 1 and start autoing the minions to charge up your grasp. When she pokes you with her Q, W her to poke her and get your hp back. (Don't just W her when you walk into lane, wait to get poked with Q first). Keep an eye on her energy bar -- if she's low on energy, you can walk up to her when she is about to auto a minion and auto her with your charged up grasp. Try not to get poked out too hard. If your jungler comes try to bait out her shroud then R her. Just try not to get poked too hard by her Q and empowered auto attacks and you'll be fine. Give up some cs to stay healthy. It's fine to be down even 20 cs in this matchup because once you get your mythic item you can easily win. Once she's level 6, never hookshot onto her if the wave is in the middle or on her side of the lane because she can then easily kill you with her R. If you die 1 time it's hard to come back.
Pro Tip: If you spam your R in the direction her R2 is coming from you can dodge it as she's dashing towards you.
Cho'Gath
[Conqueror/Grasp/First Strike + Divine Sunderer]
[Flash/Ignite + TP]
Play aggressive early so he can't heal off the minions with his passive.
It's like any other tank matchup. Don't die to the jungler, farm up, get your Divine Sunderer and you win. It can get somewhat difficult if he decides to go AP and poke you with his Q but you should still never die to him. Just farm up and outscale. If your jungler comes he dies.
Dr. Mundo
[First Strike/Grasp + Divine Sunderer]
[Ignite + TP]
Start Q if he walks up to the wave. Tank matchup, just farm, don't die, get your Divine Sunderer and you win.
Darius
[First Strike/Grasp/Conqueror + Divine Sunderer.]
[TP and Flash with First Strike page, TP + Flash or Ignite with Grasp page, Ignite + Flash with Conqueror page]
There are two ways to play this matchup. You can go the aggressive route with conqueror + ignite/flash + Doran's Blade start, OR Grasp + ignite/tp or flash/tp + Doran's shield start.
If you think you're better than the enemy Darius or if you have an aggressive jungler while the enemy has a weak early game jungler then the aggressive setup might be better. The ignite helps you win the all in, and the flash helps you flash into the center of his Q to prevent his heal.
If you opt to take the passive route, I recommend taking Doran's shield + Second Wind because Darius's passive continuously procs the passive on Doran's shield and with Second Wind you will actually heal back a lot of hp.
In both cases you want to start W because if you walk up to him level 1 he can just press ghost and auto attack you to death with his stacked passive. Let him push the wave to your side of the lane. Don't even stand next to him because he can cancel your hookshot with his E and then you're dead. If he pulls you first, then auto him for your passive shield and hookshot away. If your jungler camps top it relieves a lot of pressure off this lane. Even if he survives a gank and burns his ghost it removes a lot of kill threat he has on Camille. Try to freeze the wave on your side of the lane and stand close to walls so he can't react to your hookshot. If he ever wastes his hook you have 24 seconds to do what you want as long as the wave is on your side of the lane because he can't cancel your E if you want to run away.
You outscale him pretty hard so just try to get your Trinity Force/Divine Sunderer and look for short trades by landing a Q2 on him after slowing him with W and using the movement speed to kite away - if he hooked you on your way out you can just hookshot away.
Once you have your mythic item - and you guys are even in experience and items - if he ever wastes his Q you can hookshot onto him and all in him. Dodge his second Q with your R and you should win.
Fiora
[Grasp + Trinity Force/Divine Sunderer]
[Ignite + TP]
Start W. Only W her when her Q is on cooldown. When you think she's going to Q towards you, walk up with your passive up and Q-Q her and W her as she walks away. If you E onto her when her Riposte is up, you have to aim it so you land to the side of her then walk side ways. If she stuns you with her W you're basically dead. You can dodge her Riposte with your R. When played at a high level, Fiora usually wins this matchup when jungle diff isn't added to the equation. If they are smart they will go Grasp of the Undying and this lane becomes 4x harder because you won't have a sustain advantage over her and she will constantly poke you down until you have to base or play really safe. It's normal to be behind cs in this matchup. You are better in 5v5s but she is better splitting and will crush you 1v1 in the side lane mid/late game if she's good.
I recommend banning Fiora if you're Masters + because she is really oppressive in lane vs Camille and can match Camille in the side lane split push late game.
Gnar
[Conqueror/Grasp + Trinity/Divine]
[Flash/Ignite + TP]
You can Q1 a minion, W him, and look to Q2 him with your approach velocity speed (if you took this rune). If he jumps you can look to hookshot onto him after. Do not fight him if he's in Mega Gnar form. Your E is shorter CD (16s) than his E (22s). If you have the Conqueror/Resolve page just look to farm and scale up. You outscale him with every item you purchase and you should be more impactful than him in teamfights unless he gets a huge ultimate off on your team.
Garen
[First Strike/Grasp + Divine]
[Flash/Ignite + TP]
Start W or Q. Don't walk up next to him with your passive on CD while his Q and E are not. When your passive is off cooldown you can just do whatever you want and your shield will absorb all his damage, but back off before your shield wears off. Try to W him to keep his passive on CD. You can even Q him under the tower with your passive up to keep his passive on CD but make sure his Q (silence) is on CD or E away before you Q him (in mechanics chapter).
Irelia
[Conqueror + Trinity Force]
[Ignite + TP]
Taking Conqueror versus Grasp will really help you in this matchup. Irelia can only all in you and Conqueror will help you win an all in. If you take Grasp then a good Irelia will win at all points of the game.
This matchup used to be relatively easy/straight forward but with the Lethal Tempo changes she now wins at all points of the game. Now with the BORK buffs of patch 12.3 she is now even stronger! If you're in Diamond or lower you will probably easily win because the player doesn't know the limits of Irelia but you pretty much lose if she knows what she's doing and you took grasp and if your jungler never comes. What usually happens is you take Conqueror and trade waves back and forth because you guys can't fight whoever has the pushing wave. You can dodge her E or her R with your R. **If you do decide to go grasp + divine sunderer then you just have to play a bit safer in lane and know you're likely going to lose all ins vs her and it's best to look for small trades**
Illaoi
[Grasp + Divine]
[Ignite + TP]
Start Q if she's bad and walks up to the wave. You can also start E if she's in hookshot range. Otherwise take W.
You win level 1-5. A good Illaoi will almost never use E until you E. She will try to shove the wave under your tower, poke you, and you'll just be permanently stuck under your tower and your jungler probably won't come because it's Illaoi and she might 1v2. If she ever pushes the wave to where it's under your tower you basically lose lane. TRY YOUR BEST TO KEEP THE WAVE IN THE MIDDLE OR ON HER SIDE OF THE LANE. If you're stuck under your tower just try to farm and be more useful in teamfights. She should never kill you, only take your tower at most. You can dodge her R with yours. Dodging her Qs is easy, especially with the movement speed from your Q. If she misses E you can E in. If you get hit by her E just E out of the circle.
Nasus
[First Strike/Grasp + Divine]
[Flash/Ignite + TP]
Start Q if he's bad and walks up to the wave. You can also start E if he's in hookshot range. Otherwise start W. Try to slow push and crash the wave on the 3rd or 4th wave. Call your jungler over and dive him. It's easier to do this if you have ignite. On the dive, walk up to him and aa-Q for your passive shield and when he flashes you can follow with your E. If you and your jungler manage to pull this off its game over for him especially if he took ghost/flash like most Nasus players currently do. If this doesn't happen, you can try to freeze the wave when the wave bounces back to you and make him susceptible to jungle ganks. Try to walk up to him when he goes to last hit minions with his Q or when he walks up to minions to lifesteal from them. When he's level 6 NEVER hookshot into him if the wave is on his side of the lane unless he's really low and you're healthy! He will press R + Ghost and chase you down the lane like a dog. You have to take small trades and hookshot away when he uses his ult. When he ults just wait for it to go away.
Jax
[Grasp + Trinity/Divine]
[Start W.]
level 1, try to bait out his E by walking up to him and pretending to auto him. Hopefully you didn't walk into him too much and idealy you just get hit by his E and maybe just 1 auto attack. Auto him back if he's in range after his stun goes off but usually they just walk away. W him to get your health back and auto him with a grasp proc + shield bash. Try to rush level 2. If he's good he'll try to rush level 2 as well. If he gets level 2 first you just have to back off and wait for the wave to come in. Never hookshot onto him if your HP bars are even. He has Lethal Tempo. You want to look for short trades with your Q + grasp procs. If you stand close to walls while his E is in the air you can stun him and walk away from his stun. Look to short trade while his E is on CD. In an all in, try to dodge his E stun with your R (you have to predict it, but usually they will try to extend their E for as long as they can). TBH you could just ban Jax if you're set on picking Camille. He beats Camille throughout all stages of the game, unlike some of her other counter picks which she can outscale and split push against. Camille can't split push vs Jax and can lose lane.
Vladimir
[Conqueror/Grasp + Trinity/Divine]
[Ignite + TP]
Don't stand in range while his red bar is full. Otherwise just hookshot onto him. Wait for him to use his pool before R'ing him because he can cancel your R with his pool. It's actually kind of hard to kill a good Vlad during the early game so you can just look to farm up as much as you can and force him to answer you in a side lane during the mid/late game and he won't be able to hold you. You can look to split push almost all game because Vlad's kit is made for big teamfights and not for split pushing.
Yasuo
[Conqueror/Grasp + Trinity]
[Ignite/Flash + TP]
Start W. Don't trade lvl 1 or 2. Level 3 just W him to remove the shield and hookshot onto him. You can R his tornado to prevent him from ulting you. Take short trades. Lethal Tempo is op in Season 12.
Yone
[Grasp + Trinity/Divine]
[Ignite + TP]
Start W. Try your best to dodge his Q level 1. You can try to get prio by taking short trades and poking him with your W. Take Q lvl 2 if the wave is even and E lvl 2 if the wave is close to walls. If you guys are equal in health, and the wave is not near your tower, do not E in if he has E. You can R his R and take no damage. If you R while he is in his E he cannot E back unless he uses his return E as you are casting your R.
Wukong
[Grasp + Divine]
[Ignite + TP]
Start Q. If he doesn't have Lethal Tempo you can walk up to the wave and start charging up your grasp. aa-Q-Q if he goes for a minion, but if he goes on you first with his E -- make sure you don't auto him for your passive shield unless you get an armor shield (his E deals magic damage so wait for him to auto you after he uses E).
If he has lethal tempo you can start W. He will E onto you because he knows he will win level 1. Auto him for your shield and just keep walking away. W him in return after you have separation.
When hookshotting onto him. Hookshot a little past him because most Wukongs with dash backwards with their clone. If you hit them that's great, if you didn't then they dashed in a direction that puts them in a vulnerable position. When using your R or Ignite make sure he has already used his W so you don't accidentally waste your ignite/R.
Singed
[First Strike/Grasp + Divine]
[Ignite/Flash + TP]
Start Q or W. Walk with your minion wave to the lane so he doesn't start the game by proxying. Do not leash for your jungler. Try to freeze the wave on your side and fight him as he tries to push the wave. If he manages to proxy (farm between your towers) DO NOT PANIC! Just farm the minions under your tower and know that you outscale him and that it's completely fine because you just farm for free and EASILY kill him later when you have items. You also counter him in 5v5s because you can just R him, lock him up, and have your team focus him.
Jayce
[Grasp + Trinity Force] *Approach Velocity*
[Flash/Ignite + TP]
Doran's shield. Start W. If you leashed and got to lane a bit later, a good Jayce may stand in the lane bush and try to zone you from minion exp. Ward the bush so your minions will aggro him if he autos you. Ideally you get to lane first and start hitting the minions so you can have a minion advantage over him to prevent him from autoing you too much or using his melee Q on you. Constantly W him for poke and sustain. If you take approach velocity it allows you to run up to him after you W him to get your grasp proc off and poke him. If he Q's in on you just auto him for the shield and back off. When he switches to his ranged form you have a window to hookshot onto him because his melee transformation (which has his main form of disengage) is on cooldown. If you're not too far behind, you just automatically win an all in when you get Trinity Force.
Kayle
[Conqueror/PTA/Grasp + Trinity Force]
[Flash + TP]
Despite being Kayle, Lethal Tempo allows Kayle to win an all in level 1. Just look to poke her with W and take short trades. Level 6, if you miss your hookshot, you're going to take a lot of damage as you walk away. So try to stand close to the wall and maybe wait for her W to be on cooldown. A good Kayle will stand pretty far from walls and use her W when you E. Once you have Trinity Force you just automatically win if you hit one E on her. R her R damage during an all in. You destroy her in a side lane so you can play to split push.
Heimerdinger
[Conqueror + Trinity Force]
[Flash + TP]
Start W. Start Doran's Shield. You're pretty much going to be sitting under tower farming and scaling up. Wait to go in when your jungler comes and try to dodge his stun.
Kled
[Grasp/First Strike + Divine Sunderer]
[Ignite/Flash + TP]
Start W. Try to dodge his Q if you can -- it will make the lane so much easier. He will usually try to Q you as you go to cs a minion. If his Q does hit you then walk up to him if he's close and auto him to get your passive shield. It will block all the damage. Take short trades and play around his W cooldown. Never trade while his W is up and try not to get baited by his W/passive while he's dismounted. You can all in him when he's dismounted and has his W off cooldown. Once you get your Divine Sunderer you just automatically win.
Mordekaiser
[Grasp + Divine Sunderer]
[Ignite + TP]
Start W. Try to dodge his abilities. He will usually use them when you go to cs. It's fine to give up cs to keep your hp bar healthy. Once he's level 6 never hookshot onto him because he will kill you 99% of the time even if you are slightly ahead. If you never hookshot onto him though after level 6 then you can usually just farm up and scale for free. You can stand in your minion wave so when he Q's you it will shove the wave to you and you get to scale.
Malphite
[Grasp + Divine Sunderer]
[Flash + TP]
Grasp + Second Wind + Dorans Shield. Look to farm and get Grasp procs when you can. Try to keep his shield down with your W. IDK it's just another tank matchup you shouldn't ever die and it's easy to farm and you just win when you have Divine Sunderer!
Kennen
[Conqueror + Trinity Force]
[Flash + TP]
Doran's Shield. You can go Legend: Tenacity and Unflinching as it helps with his annoying CC. Start W.
Try to stay healthy and farm up. Kennen is really annoying but once you have Tri Force (getting buffed in 12.3) you just automatically win an all in.
Lucian
[Conqueror + Trinity Force]
[Flash + TP]
Doran's Shield. Okay normally this lane would be pretty hard. But unlike Vayne or Akshan, Lucian doesn't scale very well and doesn't provide anything other than damage for his team. For Lucian to be effective he has to play aggro. If your jungler ever comes he's just dead. You win when you have Tri Force.
Poppy
[Grasp + Divine Sunderer]
[Flash + TP]
Grasp + Second Wind. Start Doran's Shield. Poppy is considered a natural counter to Camille and other fighters who have dashes (Riven, Fiora, Irelia). You have to play as if you don't have your E. Just play safe and try to avoid her passive poke and wait to walk up until she uses it. Once you have Divine Sunderer you actually have a chance and further into the game you can easily fight/kill her.
Riven
[Grasp + Divine Sunderer]
[Flash/Ignite + TP]
Most readers won't have to worry about Riven and the notes here probably won't apply to you but this is how the matchup should be played. You can either start W or Q. If you start W, wait for he to use her 3rd Q before you W her. Level 1, she will be looking to Q3 you to remove your bone plating. Try to stack up your grasp on the wave and auto her within 4 seconds after she uses her 3rd Q. If Riven extends her Q, her Q will be off cooldown really soon and she'll look to use a full Q rotation on you when your shield is down. She could walk right next to you and wait for you shield to go away so be careful. If you started Q, you can Q-Q her and use your movement speed to run away. Riven should have control over the wave in this matchup and hit level 2 first. Only E in when her E is on cooldown or you'll have a high chance of missing. Also E in when her E is on CD and when she uses her 1st or 2nd cast of Q because she won't have enough damage to out damage you. Play around your passive shield. Once she's level 6 you should almost never E into her unless you're pretty far ahead. KEEP IN MIND -- Riven can cancel your E with her stun -- so if you're trying to E away try to get closer to the wall so it's harder for her to time her stun to where your hookshot is attached to the wall (your hookshot can only be canceled after it has attached to the wall) or wait for her to use her W before you E away. She can also cancel you E with her Q3 but that's pretty rare.
Pantheon
[Conqueror + Trinity Force]
[Flash + TP]
Doran's Shield.
IDK I don't play vs Pantheon anymore but he's just a lane bully that falls off super hard. Just try to cs and survive and you'll outscale him and be more useful. When he's level 6 you have to ping when he's MIA so he doesn't get too many kills or help out his team too much.
Ornn
[First Strike/Grasp + Divine Sunderer]
[Flash + TP]
Dblade or Doran's Shield. Start W.
Just another tank matchup but try to dodge his abilities. You can hookshot off his pillar and cancel his dash. You can use your passive to block his passive damage. You can R him to dodge his R.
Renekton
[Grasp/First Strike + Divine Sunderer]
[Ignite + TP]
Start Q or W. Dblade. Look to play really aggro early to control the wave. You don't want him to have control over the wave or else he'll just stack his fury and the lane will be very hard. Try to crash the minion on the third wave to recall and get a doran's shield or a cloth armor + refillable. OR you can also start W, auto him with grasp procs and try to out sustain him. In order for him to sustain in lane he HAS to Q the wave which makes the wave push to you which allows you to farm up and scale for free. Don't walk up next to him when he has 50% rage because his empowered W does a lot of damage and removes your shield if you auto him first. Just try to survive this lane, you outscale him pretty hard. Whoever's jungler comes more wins this lane TBH. If you want, you can rush armor boots as it reduces his empowered W damage by a lot! As long as you survive this lane you pretty much win. Feel free to give up minions in order to stay healthy. You outscale him SUPER HARD. You beat him in a side lane late game and you're more useful in 5v5s. The only time he can win is from level 2 to when you get your divine sunderer + armor boots. There a good chance you get dove in this lane if his jungler plays topside because his R gives him so much HP and his W stuns you for easy setup. Just back off the turret and lose the wave. It's better to just lose the wave than to lose the wave AND die.
This matchup changed a lot after he got buffed like 4 patches in a row... they increased his healing, his damage, and his scaling. If they go the RTO build with Sunfire Aegis and proxy between waves and farm jungle camps you basically lose and it's really hard to come back because he's funneling himself and Camille has zero waveclear and no sustain and the minions just hit her tower and after Renekton is done farming her jungler's camps he just comes back and gets gold from the plates. He doesn't even have to kill you or lane, he just takes resources from your jungler and gets a massive gold/item lead over you. Hope and pray your bot/mid win hard if he decides to do this because it is unplayable from the Camille side. He could also do the Bork + Prowler's Claw build which is also really annoying because and borderline unplayable because he can just 1 shot you with empowered W.
I would ban Renekton but currently he isn't picked very much.
Rengar
[Grasp + Divine Sunderer]
[Ignite + TP]
Get to lane level 1 and pull his minion wave away from the central line of the wave. You can actually get prio and level 2 first because while you are autoing the wave he is wasting time walking in and out of the bushes. Start Q. If he jumps on you give him the auto Q auto Q and you win the trade. If you hit level 2 first I suggest leveling W because it will be hard to land your E because he can easily dodge it by jumping onto a minion from out of the bush. If you ever get a small advantage in this lane you just shove the wave and keep him under his tower and he is just useless as you outscale him. He won't even be able to set up ganks for his jungler because you can just E away even if rooted. When you're level 6 and if your jungler comes you can R him and he's pretty much screwed.
Volibear
[Grasp + Divine Sunderer]
[Ignite + TP]
Start W. You can basically never E onto him unless he wastes his E or his Q. Usually most Volibears will just stack up their passive and continuously shove the wave so you can't really ever trade. Just farm up and get Divine Sunderer. You win late game. Look to R his R damage or at least his E damage.
Sylas
[Conqueror + Trinity Force]
[Ignite + TP]
I don't ever play vs this matchup but I think you just farm and win if he engages on you. E after he uses his E. You win once you have Tri Force.
Maokai
[Conqueror + Divine Sunderer]
[Ignite/Flash + TP]
Tank farm lane. Divine Sunderer and win. Unless you're playing vs Aizo you should be fine.
Sett
[Grasp + Divine]
[Ignite/Flash + TP]
Start W. Take Bone Plating FOR SURE in this matchup. Don't walk up without your passive up. Constantly W him and auto him for your passive shield when he pulls you. You can R his W damage. Pre 6, don't engage unless his E or W is down.
Shen
[Grasp/First Strike + Divine Sunderer]
[Ignite/Flash + TP]
Start W. He pretty much wins early game especially if he has ignite. Don't ever auto attack him early game because you will waste your passive shield and he can just taunt you after. Wait for him to taunt you first and you'll automatically get your shield and you can all in him after. Worst case scenario Just play safe and outscale him when you have Divine Sunderer. If you use your E first you will lose. He can block your Q2 damage with his W so you can fake out the Q2 auto attack and wait out his W.
Sion
[Conqueror/Grasp/First Strike + Divine Sunderer]
[Flash + TP]
Tank farm lane. Sions will generally just perma shove the lane and try to poke you down. So this is generally just a farm lane. Try to avoid stepping close to the bushes if you don't see him in the lane because he might be charging up his Q. You win when you have Divine Sunderer.
Teemo
[Fleet Footwork/Arcane Comet + Trinity Force]
[Flash + TP]
A good Teemo will never waste his Q in a position where you can hookshot onto him. He will just poke you down with his poisoned auto attacks and if you hookshot onto him he will blind you and you'll do no damage while he kites with his W and auto attacks you as you run away. Level 6 he just shrooms the ground and the walls and kites you through shrooms. Just try to farm and outscale. If your jungler comes he probably dies. Teemo players usually don't take teleport so 1 kill on him can be devastating. Camping a Teemo can be GG for he will be so far behind and useless and you can just gank mid with your mobility and R. If your jungler never comes you just lose.
Vayne
[Conqueror/Press the Attack + Trinity Force] **Take Approach Velocity**
[Flash + TP]
She has tons of mobility and her kit kinda counters yours. In theory if you hookshot onto a wall she can condemn you into it. Look to W her and with approach velocity you can run up to her and Q her, if she condemns you away with her E you can look to E onto her and kill her. Worst case scenario just try to farm. Vayne tops kinda mess up their team comp so you should be more useful. Try not to stand between her and a wall when going for an all in.
Warwick
[Grasp/First Strike + Divine]
[Ignite + TP]
W start.
A good Warwick will take barrier and flash and zone you from exp range from the minions if you get to lane late. Just don't trade at all because he has infinite sustain build into his kit. Try to get what farm you can and ignite him when he's low when your jungler ganks to reduce his insane healing. You become way more useful than him out of lane so just try to farm for your items and don't get baited by his low hp+barrier+R.
Ryze
[Conqueror/Grasp + Trinity/Divine]
[Flash + TP]
You can start E and hookshot onto him. You outscale him and beat him early. Just try to keep track of the enemy jungler so you don't die. You can get early prio in this lane and invade the enemy jungler with yours.
Yorick
[Grasp + Divine]
[Ignite/Flash + TP]
You can start Q if he walks up to the wave, otherwise you can take E and hookshot onto him for damage. Level 3 be careful if he has stacked a bunch of ghouls. If he hits his E and his W with a bunch of ghouls you're going to take a bunch of damage. If you use your E he will try to retaliate with his abilities -- try to dodge them if you can. Once he's 6 you can't really E into him because his R does a lot of damage. Try to kill his R when he's walking away from your tower.
Tryndamere
[Grasp/First Strike + Divine]
[Exhaust/Flash + TP]
Start Q. Get to lane first to stack up your grasp. You pretty much win trades if he doesn't have his rage bar stacked. Try to prevent him from auto attacking the minions to prevent him from stacking up his rage. If his rage bar is full, stand back and have your passive ready so if he spins onto you you can block his damage and E away. You'll often be trading farm in this matchup. You win levels 1-5 generally. He wins level 6+ until you get 3 items with one of them being Randuins omen. Never E onto him while he has his R. If you can bait out his R without using your E you can win. He's pretty much useless without his R.
Urgot
[Grasp + Divine Sunderer] **Take Approach Velocity**
[Ignite/Flash + TP]
Start W. W him and try to stay healthy. If you're close to a wall you can hookshot onto him really quick and do a quick trade but quickly back off before he flips you. HE COULD POTENTIALLY FLIP YOU MID HOOKSHOT. So never hookshot onto him when you are far from a wall because he can easily time his flip while you are wall diving in. You can R his R but a good Urgot will R you after he flips you so try to R his flip. His E is pretty telegraphed because a shield appears over his hp bar. So just press R when you see his shield. You can take approach velocity and threaten a Q2 after using W and you might be able to bait out his E of which you can then use your E if you manage to dodge his and you should win the trade pretty hard. You hard win when you have Divine Sunderer.
Quinn
[Conqueror + Trinity]
[Flash + TP]
Start W. Poke her down with W as she slowly pushes the wave towards you. Your hookshot cancels her E so you can pretty much hookshot onto her whenever you want. In an all in try to step behind her after hookshotting onto her so she can't E towards her tower. You destroy her once you have items + armor boots.
Rumble
[Conqueror + Trinity]
[Flash/Ignite + TP]
Start W, stay healthy. His kit is designed to shove the wave so you get free scaling. Very risky to E in especially if he's level 6 with flash ignite, you will die. Try to position yourself so if he pokes you with Q he shoves the wave. You will go down cs but its okay. You will win vs him as the game goes on.
Gangplank
[Conqueror/Grasp + Trinity/Divine]
[Flash/Ignite + TP]
He just pokes you with Q. It's hard to cs without taking damage. A good GP will stand on his barrels and you can't hookshot onto him. If your jungler camps this lane its super free. Try to R his barrel damage.
Gwen
[Grasp + Divine Sunderer]
[Ignite + TP]
Start Doran's blade and W and W her after she uses her dash. Ideally you don't have to leash for your jungler and you get to lane first or at the same time as her. The goal in this matchup is to survive and sustain using your W and your grasp procs. Try your best to dodge her center Q damage. In an all in you can dodge her center Q or R damage with your R. Try to E in when her E is on cooldown and when she doesn't have too many stacks on her Q. However, NEVER hookshot in when she has her ultimate - even if you have two kills on her she still beats you if she has her R and you hookshot onto her. Be careful if she took ghost. If she took ignite then you don't have to worry about her chasing you down the lane if you're pushed up.
Akshan
[Conqueror + Trinity Force]
[Flash + TP]
Doran's shield. Start W.
He is a lane bully so try to stay alive and hope your jungler comes. You destroy him later once you have items + armor boots.
Trundle
[First Strike/Grasp + Divine]
[Ignite/Flash + TP]
Start W. You lose all ins. Try to farm up and take short trades if you have to. You can E off his pillar. He can also cancel your E with his pillar so be careful. He shouldn't be able to kill you but you can't really kill him.
Tahm Kench
[First Strike/Grasp + Divine Sunderer]
[Flash + TP]
Start W.
Really annoying lane but I haven't played vs him after his top lane viability got nerfed in patch 12.2. Just don't fight him ever. He's too tanky and does way too much damage for how tanky he is. He can also freeze like 3 minion waves without losing that much hp wich is overpowered like c'mon Riot. Just try to survive and be more useful than him outside of laning phase. He's becomes a walking brick once he leaves laning phase.
Gragas
[Grasp + Divine]
[Ignite/Flash + TP]
Start W. If he goes tank then it's just another tank matchup and I would rate it a 2/5 difficulty but if he goes ap then it would be a 4/5 difficulty because he chunks you with his barrels and has infinite sustain with his passive and can disengage from your R with his R. He has so much sustain so try not to trade too much and avoid his poke. Stand behind minions to not get hit by his E. If you E in first without his E being on cd then you guys can stun each other and negate each others stuns. He's pretty hard to kill but once you have Divine Sunderer you should start winning the short trades more.
Graves
[Grasp/Conqueror + Trinity Force]
[Ignite/Flash + TP]
Graves tries to just perma shove you under tower and has tons of built in armor in his kit. Try to land your W on him, most graves will use their dash. You can then use your E to get on top of them for a short trade. Keep doing this before he builds his lifesteal items. Stay behind minions so he can't auto you. Don't stand in front of your tower to cs or he can easily land his Q on you when it hits your tower/terrain. If he gets a kill on you your lane is basically over. Try to be more useful than him outside of lane phase.
Janna
Yes Janna top with smite is a thing - sadly.
[Conqueror + Trinity Force]
[Flash + TP]
This matchup would be a 1 but I list it as a 5 because you're constantly worrying about your team fighting a 4v5 as you afk in lane getting free plates and gold.
I recommend taking conditioning + overgrowth so you can use those runes to scale for free. Hope and pray your team doesn't lose as you afk push in lane while she roams around the map having impact as a "top laner" XD
K'Sante
[Grasp + Divine Sunderer]
[Ignite/Flash + TP]
If he walks close to a wall level 1 you can cheese him by starting E and you pretty much get prio and win the lane. If he doesn't then dodge his Q's level 1 and you can walk up to him to trade a grasp auto when his Q is down and W him to heal back. Once he has his E he will block your W with his E shield so try to wait for him to use his E. The onus is on him to get a lead on you early because once you have Divine Sunderer you pretty much just win. Do you best to side step his Q's and keep taking small trades to whittle down his health bar and W him to stay healthy. Your job is to not die before you get your mythic item. Be very careful when he hits level 6 because if he's running conqueror and you use your hookshot on him he can all in you and practically 1 shot you. Also be careful when standing close to his tower because he can pull you into tower range with the kit that he has.
Olaf
[Grasp + Divine Sunderer]
[Ignite+TP]
Start Doran's Shield. You might need to start E to get the first 3 melee minions' experience and to run away from his Q chain. Don't walk up to the wave level 1 and never hookshot in unless you are very far ahead or close to your tower. He can only heal if he shoves the wave so try to poke him with W, take small grasp trades close to your tower, and stand in your minion wave so if he tries to poke you with his Q he shoves the wave into you. Your job is to survive and scale for divine sunderer.

UPDATES
Did a small update to the guide. Changed starting items from Doran's Blade to Doran's shield because in most matchups Doran's shield should be taken. Added Ksante and Olaf to the matchups section. (12/27/2022)
Edited Runes. (7/15/2022)
Added which matchups you can take First Strike. (7/15/2022)
Updated matchup notes and difficulties for champions such as Renekton/Fiora after numerous Renekton buffs and now that a lot of Fioras are taking Grasp of the Undying vs Camille. (7/15/2022)
Updated matchup notes for many matchups and rearranged difficulties. Updated mythic item and keystone recommendations for matchups. (3/17/2022)
Updated the Gwen matchup. (2/22/2022)
Changed the recommended rune page section and the notes after more testing and playing vs better players XD. Grasp is just better in most situations. AND changed the recommended mythic item to Divine Sunderer as it should be built in the majority of games. Moved Jax and Darius to the extreme section in the matchup section and updated the Jax, Renekton, and Nasus matchups. (2/21/22)
Hey everyone, I've updated the summoner spells section of the guide as I noticed it was out of touch with the current meta! Ignite should be taken more often than flash because it helps with Camille's early game after her nerfs and Doran's blade changes from a while back.(2/18/2022)
Introduction
So you might be wondering, "Why is this guide different than other Camille guides?" Well, I've looked at other guides and, frankly, if there already was a decent Camille guide -- I wouldn't be writing this one. Camille is one of my favorite champions in League of Legends, and my eyes literally hurt seeing some of the builds and recommendations on this site, or lack thereof.
What not to look for in a Camille Guide:
If a guide is recommending any mythic item other than Trinity Force or Divine Sunderer they're trolling.
If a guide is written by a silver player... don't listen to them.
If a guide doesn't have Teemo listed as a hard matchup, it's fake news.
If a guide just copy and pastes the definitions of runes and abilities, then it's not even a guide.
Though I've only peaked Masters in Seasons 9-12. I've talked with other Challenger Camille mains and have gathered the best and most up-to-date information to share with you all.
Why Camille?
If you want to carry from top lane, Camille is the champion for you. No other champion can split push, engage, and assassinate carries to the extent Camille can. She is the MOST MOBILE top laner in the game and has one of the highest damage outputs of all top lane champions.
Pros:
Extremely Mobile
Strong Split Pusher
High Carry Potential
Easy Gank Setup
Tank Destroyer
Great at finding picks
Good early game, very strong late game
Not too many hard counters
Cons:
Underwhelming when behind
Is squishy mid game
Requires jungle assistance to get a lead is some matchups
Easily focused if she is the only engage in front to back fights (try to flank)
Takes time to learn
Not that many skins pepeHands
Summoner Spells
Teleport
(Always)
Ignite (Usually)
OR
Flash (Sometimes)
Teleport (Always)
Given that Camille is one of the best split pushers in the game, Teleport is ESSENTIAL as it allows Camille to split push and join her team when they need her (with the potential of having a game winning flank).
Ignite (Usually)
Ignite should be your go to summoner spell after Teleport for it allows Camille to have kill pressure and turn certain matchups in her favor. It also helps for diving turrets. It is NOT NECESSARY IN ANY MATCHUP to take Ignite over Flash, however, in certain hard matchups where you want to reduce their healing and/or win an all in, Ignite will definitely help. Some of these matchups inclde Renekton, Aatrox, and Volibear, ect. (Check the matchups section down below to see in which matchups Ignite/ Teleport can be useful)
Flash (Sometimes)
Flash should be your go-to summoner spell if you feel you don't need the kill pressure from Ignite. With Flash, you can escape from ganks, set up ganks, survive tower dives, teamfight better, and also catch people off guard with Hookshot / Wall Dive into Flash or flashing before using the second part of Camille's hookshot, Wall Dive. Use Hookshot before Flash in the majority of situations as it is more guaranteed to hit. Flashing before using Wall Dive can be used to gain more distance, or if someone is right next to the wall where Camille is jumping from she can Flash past them then Hookshot towards a priority target. Overall Flash scales better than Ignite. Ignite is more for the laning phase and early game.
E Flash (Most Guaranteed to Hit)
Flash E (For Extra Distance)
Flash E (Flashing For Specific Enemy)
Runes
Camille is one of the few champions that can run a variety of rune pages. Currently, the best keystones for Camille are Grasp of the Undying and Conqueror. The meta currently favors the Grasp of the Undying rune page because the runes it offers allows Camille to be tankier in this damage heavy Season 12. The reduced healing from items and runes compared to Season 10 also makes the Conqueror page less desirable (although it does have its uses). For her secondary tree, there are many options you can choose that will work well with Camille. Ultimately, your secondary runes are PERSONAL PREFERENCE. Don't let anyone tell you different. Here are a few examples of rune pages you can take and why they are good.
Grasp Runes
Grasp
Shield Bash
Conditioning OR
Second Wind OR
Bone Plating
Overgrowth OR
Revitalize OR
Unflinching
Magical Footwear
Biscuit Delivery
This rune page is great against difficult matchups where Camille is unable to take extended trades. The keystone Grasp of the Undying can help her win short trades by dealing more damage on your initial auto attack while healing herself for a small amount. Shield Bash adds damage to your auto attack when Camille's passive is available which helps with short trades as well. This rune also makes Camille slightly tankier as the shield persists.
This rune page scales the hardest. If you're confident in your laning phase or smurfing you can run this page.
Conqueror helps you win extended trades and is great for all ins.
Triumph helps you make tower dives and go for plays that wound't work without the health rebate. The life steal from
Legend: Bloodline and omnivamp from Ravenous Hunter allows the second part of Camille's Q, Precision Protocol, to heal her for a large amount because Precision Protocol deals true damage. This life steal/omnivamp combo makes Camille deceptively tanky IF she is able to deal damage. It also allows her to stay out on the map, getting more experience and gold to help her carry.
Get creative! Camille is one of the few champions that can use a variety of keystones and rune pages. There are many high ranked Camille players who use Fleet Footwork or Arcane Comet into ranged matchups such as Teemo, Kennen, and even Gangplank. Although these keystones don't scale very well, it can help you get out of laning phase so Camille can scale into the late game goddess that she is!
Combos
COMBOS KEY
aa = auto attack
Q1 = Part 1 of Precision Protocol
Q2 = Part 2 of Precision Protocol
Q = just spam Q (don't wait for Q2
Q minion = Q1 on a minion for movement speed and to charge Q2
THE BREAD AND BUTTER -- aa-Q1-aa-Q2
Camille's bread and butter combo. The hardest part about this combo is canceling your auto attack animation with Precision Protocol. After a while you'll get the timing down and you won't even have to think about it. If you ever hit a Q2 during laning phase you probably took a really good trade (just don't take a lot of minion aggro). If they misstep this will be the combo to do. I think a lot of players in Gold or lower just let Camille trade into them with this when they go for cs. In certain matchups, if they walk up to cs a minion you can just walk up to them and use this combo. You can also cheese a bush with this combo if the enemy top laner leashed, are walking back to lane, and you know you win 1v1 (this cheese doesn't work vs champions like Wukong or Darius. You will die.)
THE SHORT TRADE -- aa-Q-Q
You'll often times be doing this short trade in lane. Waiting for the Q2 takes too long in certain matchups. Your shield will expire and you'll take a lot of minion aggro or return damage from the enemy champion. So just take the short trade; it still does a lot of damage.
THE DOUBLE Q -- Q-Q
Some matchup like Fiora won't let you get into auto attack range while dealing damage to you. Given that Precision Protocol gives Camille an additional 50 bonus attack range, it can help you reach the champion and deal damage where you otherwise will not be able to with a normal range auto attack. The movement speed from Precision Protocol can be useful here. Just Q, move toward them, Q them again, and walk back.
THE POKE AND OUT -- Q minion-E-aa-Q2-W
Careful not to use this past the river if their jungler is topside, otherwise you just used your escape ability and now you're dead. Otherwise it's the best way to poke without committing to a fight.
THE NO HOOKSHOT POKE AND OUT -- Q minion-W-aa-Q2
Another good way to poke if they have no way to retaliate. If they do, and the movement speed from Q2 isn't enough to run away you can Hookshot to disengage. This doesn't work vs a champion like Darius unless his Apprehend is down. You will die.
THE NO HOOKSHOT POKE AND OUT -- Q minion-W-Q2(Part 2)
Often, good players will prevent you from getting an auto attack between you W and Q2, so this is a shorter version of the previous combo.
THE ALL IN -- E+W-aa-Q1-R-aa-aa-Q2
All in combo. Wait to use Tactical Sweep during your Hookshot. Over time you'll get used to the timing so you can hit Camille's Tactical Sweep on them while flying in with Wall Dive. You want to use Hextech Ultimatum right when the stun from Wall Dive ends so if they Flash to try to escape you can follow them. Try to weave in a couple auto attacks before your second Q is ready because it does more damage the more conqueror stacks you have. The number of auto attack you can weave in is dependent on how much attack speed you have. Weaving in more autos without Conqueror before Q2 doesn't matter.
THE FADEAWAY - E away-Q
The fadeaway. Camille can poke someone under tower by autoing them while Camille's Hookshot is moving towards the wall (not attached to the wall yet). A physical damage shield from Adaptive Defenses can block the turret shot. Not worth if you were to get a magic damage shield.
MY ADVICE
A great way to start with Camille is practicing these moves in the practice tool, but as you become more comfortable with Camille you won't think of these combos anymore. It will just become second nature. There are a variety of ways you can use Camille's kit. The best thing you can do is to play more games and get more experience on the champion!
How to Play Camille
The most important thing about Camille is knowing when you can go in. Whether that be during laning phase or teamfighting.
LANING PHASE
During laning phase, knowing when to Hookshot in is dependent on the matchup, but generally when you are 100% sure you will deal more damage than you will take and that you are at no risk of dying. In some matchups, such as Dr. Mundo, you can just Hookshot onto without any repercussion. While others, like Mordekaiser are conditional. Is his Death's Grasp on cooldown? Does he have Realm of Death? How much health do each of you have?
TEAMFIGHTING
Teamfighting on Camille is more complicated than laning. With each game, the team composition you will be teamfighting against and the teamfighting scenario will more than likely be different than what you have played against in the past. However, here are some key tips for teamfighting with Camille.
In 5v5's your main job is to kill their carries, then focus the tankier champions after. However, good teams will be looking out for you to come into them. For example, a Leona or Alistar might be standing around their carries anticipating for you to engage. That's why it's often times better for a fight to break out first and for Camille to come in shortly after while their team is distracted and while their abilities are down. Which brings us to the ideal way to play Camille.
SPLIT ---> FLANK ---> ASSASSINATE ---> (REPEAT)
Split. Camille is one of the best split pushers in the game. Not only does she build Trinity Force or Divine Sunderer, which helps her melt towers, but she can easily 1v1 champions in the side. Her true damage is insane and not even tanks can stop her from taking towers. What sets apart a good Camille player and a great Camille player is knowing when to split push and take towers and when to back off. What sets apart a great Camille player and the BEST Camille players are those who can 1 verse 2 and outplay their opponents or outplay other split pushers in the side lane such as Fiora. One of the best things about split pushing is that it can set you up for a flank.
Flank. A good Camille player is always looking for flanks onto the enemy backline. If you're the only engage on your team and you just try to go straight into the enemy team is a 5v5 there's a pretty high chance you'll just get focused and explode lol. It's better to try to find a flank, catch the enemy team off guard, use your ultimate to dodge cc or key damaging abilities, or even push key targets into your team.
Assassinate. Camille has the potential to one shot enemy carries depending on how much HP they build. Champions like Twitch have a low health pool and because Camille does a flat amount of true damage she can basically assassinate these champions when she's ahead. Catching these priority targets with their pants down is your objective.
PEEL
Peel. Although Camille's main job is to kill the enemy backline, sometimes it's essential for you to peel for your carries. An example of this would be a Rengar jumping on your ADC. Assuming your adc isn't completely useless, it would be better to focus the Rengar, whether than be stunning him with Hookshot or using Hextech Ultimatum, to lock him down instead of looking for a kill on their backline. Sometimes it's better to peel for your carries first then look to reengage.
