In the dynamic and strategic realm of LoL Ashe, the Frost Archer, stands out as a quintessential marksman in the game's diverse roster of champions. Often played in the bottom lane, Ashe excels as an AD carry, utilizing her exceptional range and precision to dominate her opponents. Her kit includes abilities like "Volley," which fires a volley of arrows in a cone, "Hawkshot," that grants vision across the map, and "Enchanted Crystal Arrow," a global-range ultimate that stuns and damages the first enemy hit. Ashe's passive, "Frost Shot," enhances her basic attacks to slow enemies, making her a formidable force in both poking and crowd control. Known for her ability to initiate fights from a distance and provide consistent damage in team fights, Ashe's strategic and utility-driven playstyle makes her a valuable asset in any game, embodying the perfect blend of offense and tactical support.
Ashe Abilities! Pros & Cons!

Passive:

Pros:

Consistent Slow: Applies a slow with every basic attack, enhancing Ashe's kiting ability and making it easier to chase down or escape from enemies.
Good for Poking: Helps to poke enemies and control the laning phase, hindering enemy movement and positioning.

Cons:

No Burst: Unlike other ADC passives that may provide burst damage or attack speed boosts, Frost Shot is purely utility-based, which might not help in quick trades.
Dependence on Basic Attacks: The passive's effectiveness relies on landing multiple basic attacks, which can be difficult against high-mobility champions.

Q Ability (Ranger's Focus):

Pros:

Increased Attack Speed: Significantly boosts Ashe's attack speed and damage output for a short duration, enhancing her DPS.
Stacks with Basic Attacks: The ability synergizes well with her passive, allowing her to apply Frost Shot more rapidly.

Cons:

Requires Stacks: Needs to build up Focus stacks through basic attacks before activation, which can be challenging in fast-paced skirmishes.
Limited Duration: The increased attack speed is temporary, requiring careful timing to maximize its impact.

W Ability (Volley):

Pros:

Multi-Target Slow: Fires several arrows in a cone, each applying Frost Shot's slow, useful for harassing multiple enemies and controlling the lane.
Good Poke Tool: Provides safe harass and poke from a distance, helping to chip away at enemy health bars.

Cons:

Skillshot: Requires precise aim to hit multiple targets or a specific enemy, and can be dodged by opponents.
Mana Cost: Has a relatively high mana cost, especially in the early game, potentially leading to mana management issues.

E Ability (Hawkshot):

Pros:

Global Vision: Grants vision of a wide area, revealing enemies and providing critical information about enemy movements and objectives.
Long Range: Can be used from anywhere on the map, making it a powerful tool for scouting and map control.

Cons:

No Combat Utility: Provides no direct combat benefits, as it is purely a scouting tool.
Cooldown: Has a relatively long cooldown, limiting its frequent use for vision control.

R Ability (Enchanted Crystal Arrow):

Pros:

Global Stun: Can stun an enemy champion from anywhere on the map, initiating fights or catching out-of-position enemies.
High Impact: Deals significant damage and provides a strong initiation tool, especially when combined with team follow-up.

Cons:

Skillshot: Requires precise aim and timing, as missing the arrow can waste a powerful tool and leave Ashe without her primary form of crowd control.
Situational: Effectiveness depends on hitting key targets, and the ability can be less impactful if not used correctly or if enemies have ways to block or dodge it.
Runes!
  • Primary Tree

  • Precision

  • Presence of mind

  • This keystone rune increases damage output by making enemies take more damage after three consecutive basic attacks. It synergizes well with Ashe's high attack speed from "Ranger's Focus" (Q) and her passive, "Frost Shot."
  • Legend: Bloodline

  • Grants life steal, which improves Ashe's sustain, allowing her to stay longer in fights and recover health during the laning phase and team fights.
  • Coup De Grace

  • Increases damage to low-health enemies, allowing Ashe to finish off opponents more effectively, capitalizing on her kiting and poking capabilities.
  • Biscuit Delivery

  • Provides extra sustain in the early game, helping Ashe manage her health and mana.
  • Approach Velocity

  • Increases movement speed towards slowed enemies, synergizing with her passive, "Frost Shot," for better kiting and chase potential.
  • +10% Attack Speed

  • +9 Adaptive Force

  • +10-180 Health (based on level)

Spells!
  • Survivability: Heal provides an instant health boost that can be the difference between life and death in close engagements. This is especially valuable in the laning phase and team fights.

Team Utility: Heal also affects a nearby ally, often your support, providing both of you with increased survivability during bot lane skirmishes or team fights.

Movement Speed: The movement speed boost helps Ashe and her ally reposition during fights, either to escape danger or chase down low-health enemies.

  • Damage Mitigation: Exhaust reduces the target's damage output, attack speed, and movement speed, making it highly effective against enemy assassins or burst champions who pose a significant threat to Ashe.

Peeling Tool: As a low-mobility ADC, Ashe benefits from Exhaust's ability to slow and weaken enemies, making it easier for her to kite and survive aggressive engagements.

Dueling Power: In 1v1 or small skirmishes, Exhaust can tilt the fight in Ashe's favor by significantly reducing the threat from enemy champions, allowing her to secure kills more safely.

***ONLY PICK EXHAUST IF YOU ARE GOOD AT KITING!!!***

  • Escape Tool: Ashe lacks inherent mobility, making her vulnerable to ganks and aggressive enemies. Flash provides an essential escape mechanism to avoid deadly situations.

Positioning: Proper positioning is critical for ADCs, and Flash allows Ashe to quickly reposition herself during team fights or skirmishes, ensuring she can stay at a safe distance while dealing damage.

Engage/Chase Potential: Flash can be used offensively to close the gap on fleeing enemies or to position Ashe for a crucial "Enchanted Crystal Arrow" (R) initiation.

Wall Jumping: Flash can be used to traverse terrain, which can be crucial for escaping through jungle walls or surprising enemies with unexpected positioning.

Items!
  • Benefits/Advantages:

  • Attack Damage:
+8 Attack Damage: This boost increases Ashe's basic attack damage, enhancing her ability to last hit minions and deal more damage to enemy champions. Higher attack damage synergizes well with Ashe’s abilities, especially her passive "Frost Shot" and "Ranger's Focus" (Q).

  • Health:
+80 Health: The additional health makes Ashe slightly tankier in the early game, helping her survive trades and skirmishes in the bot lane. Given Ashe's lack of mobility and inherent squishiness, the extra health can be crucial in avoiding early deaths.

  • Life Steal:
Life Steal: This provides Ashe with some sustain, allowing her to regain health with each basic attack. Early sustain is particularly valuable for staying in lane longer, farming more effectively, and reducing the need for early recalls.

  • True Damage:
This item provides a passive that deals additional true damage every third attack, significantly increasing Ashe’s sustained damage output, especially against tankier champions.

  • Attack Speed and Critical Strike:
These stats are essential for maximizing Ashe's DPS. The attack speed synergizes well with her Q, "Ranger's Focus," while the critical strike chance boosts her overall damage potential.

  • Attack Speed:
These boots provide a significant boost to attack speed, enhancing Ashe's ability to apply her passive slow and deal consistent damage.

  • Movement Speed:
Increased movement speed is crucial for positioning in fights, kiting enemies, and dodging skill shots.

  • Multi-Target Attacks:
This item allows Ashe's basic attacks to hit additional nearby targets, applying her passive slow and on-hit effects to multiple enemies. This is especially useful in team fights and for wave clear.

  • Attack Speed and Critical Strike:
Both stats further enhance Ashe’s DPS and synergy with other critical strike items.

  • Insane Passive:
Serrated Edge: Basic damage that critically strikes on-hit inflicts a bleed on the target, causing them to take [8.75% AD bonus physical damage every 0.5 seconds over 2 seconds.] Subsequent applications of the bleed can stack, but do not refresh the duration of the previous bleed.

  • High Attack Damage and Critical Strike Chance:
Yun Tal Wildarrows offers 65 Attack Damage and 25% Critical Strike Chance, making it an attractive item for champions that scale well with these stats. This combination is essential for increasing overall damage output.

  • Critical Strike Damage:
This item significantly boosts the damage of critical strikes, making Ashe's basic attacks much more potent.

  • Critical Strike Chance:
Increases the likelihood of dealing critical strikes, synergizing with other items that enhance her critical hit damage.

  • Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance, and Movement Speed:
These stats are all crucial for Ashe, improving her DPS and mobility.

  • Survivability:
Provides a shield when dropping below a certain health threshold, offering additional protection in team fights.

  • Armor Penetration:
This item allows Ashe to deal more damage to tanky champions with high armor, ensuring she remains effective against all types of opponents.

  • Bonus Damage:
Increases damage against champions with more maximum health than Ashe, making her more effective against tanks and bruisers

Conclusion
This guide is mainly for Ashe Mid Lane. With the new AD item Yun Tal Wildarrows, after purchasing Kraken Slayer the build order will be Berserker's Greaves, Runaan's Hurricane then Yun Tal Wildarrows. With Kraken Slayer's passive, (BRING IT DOWN: Basic attacks on-hit grant a stack for 3 seconds, up to 2 stacks. At 2 stacks, the next basic attack consumes all stacks to deal 140-310 (based on level) bonus physical damage on-hit, increased by 0%-50% (based on target's missing health), for up to 210-465 (based on level) bonus physical damage.) and Yun Tal Wildarrows passive, (Serrated Edge: Basic damage that critically strikes on-hit inflicts a bleed on the target, causing them to take [8.75% AD bonus physical damage every 0.5 seconds over 2 seconds.] Subsequent applications of the bleed can stack, but do not refresh the duration of the previous bleed.), both of these on-hit passive effects can stack together so it will deal more damage than compared to having either one of them only in the entire build. I would say, the new AD items actually save most ADCs.
