League of Legends (LoL) Question: Bard looks so broken...

I haven't actually had the opportunity to play bard yet but from what I've seen he looks pretty much like the most broken champion to ever be released and that's saying something (looking at you lucian, yasuo and xin). But seriously his ult will pretty much be "press r to win teamfight" Being able to put a stun that long on that many people with that much reliability just seems plain and simple OP. I can also see a lot of trolls stunning their teammates...that and rito just released 2 champions who have tunnels, come on rito you can do better. Like I said I haven't actually played him but I would love some input by people who have. Is he as broken as he looks?
