Hello, i'm actually gold V playing graves at jungle. I wanted to have some tips to be better, should i play only him to know him perfectly? What are the main objectives in game? What should i do in theory? Thanks!
if you like to change or just playing as graves.
but i recommend you to have 3 mains, jungle, mid, adc or sup, i have master yi main for jungle, yasuo main for mid, heimerdinger main for sup and adc.
so thats all.
i hope this answer will help you.
+im still silver iv but i'm good i know a lot of things in this game.
I am a main support and secondary jungler.
The game have 3 topics that a player should work on to be better (there are more but 3 significant)
1) Macro -
a) objectives - usually it's inhibitor > Baron > Elder dragon > dragon > rift herald > tower > kill
b) roaming - for jungler it a bit different. You should pay attention where is the enemy jungler or "calculate" his path to know where he will gank and make it for your advantage. For example if he ganking bot you can counter gank him if you bot side too, you can gank top or mid as it would be 2 v 1, and you can counter jungle his top if you know there are camps there or make your vision better over there so you will have more information where is he.
c) Wave manipulation - know when you need to push the lane for your laners and when not to. How to make the enemies go for top side while you try to get the dragon and more.
2) Micro - mechanics
a) get better with your champion pool, most of the time it mean to have a small champion pool around 3 champs for your main role and maybe one champ that is for a secondary role. You should know what your champion can do and what you can't do. Then you need to be able to make your champion do what he can can (strike an skill shot for example).
b) jungle pathing - you should know what camps are better for you so you would get the camps in the right order while achieving your final destination (specific lane or objective) without running all the map.
c) learn how to start on the buff you are not used to, when the enemy have the advantage and invade your first buff.
3) knowledge -
a) learn as much as you can about champions in game so you can predict how they work, play, what will be their next move, and what is their week points.
b) Items - know as much as you can about items, you should build different items in different situations, for example Hexdrinker against heavy AP assassin or Executioner's Calling against champion with a lot of HP regen or lifesteal.
c) runes- learn what every rune does and learn how to play against them and what best for your champion.
This is the big picture, if you want anything specific I may try to help (mechanics are my weak point)
To add to these points, you also need to know how to properly play with your team. Especially in solo queue, the deciding factor in the win falls on which team can coordinate with each other the best. Know when the best times to group are, know where your teammates are in their lanes whenever you are chosing whether or not to take a fight, and know when your team is strongest. As a jungler you often set the tempo of the game. If your team is strong early, you need to use this pressure. Snowball yourself and your laners and use the extra time to get objectives. If your team is scaling heavy, don't try to force unneeded fights early. Play slowly and build to the late game. If you coordinate with your team well, you can be amazing at any elo. The problem is that this is the skill you have the least control over.
I also think that Baron should be prioritized over an inhibitor unless you can get both. The reason is that the ideal Baron taking situations are very rare. If you have the ideal situation, you need to take it and secure the buff. This will also allow you to pressure that inhibitor more. The only situation I would prioritize an inhibitor first is if you can win after destroying it. Obviously the enemy nexus is your primary objective.
Baron gives:
better split push
harder wave clear for the enemy
better minion damage to objectives (cannons can attack out of tower range)
(give a fast recall buff)
last for 3.5 minutes.
inhibitor gives:
auto pushing lane.
better chance to make a team fight (as one need to counter the minion).
a better siege with the super minions (they buff the minions around too).
re-spawn after 5 min
