Champion Build Guide
Introduction
Hello, I'm a unranked player with the same skills as a monkey in a type writer, I always make builds whenever I see an opportunity and this one, specially, is one of my favorites as it's excrugiantly fun seeing your enemy struggle against a ****ing Master Yi on steroids running around dealing tons of crits and shredding life bars. If it matters, I have level 6 80k mastery on Aatrox because I play a ton of other champions as well (ARAM main lel)
Game Approach
I yet cannot say anything about how to approach the game as how I don't play Rift at all, instead I play ARAM like a maniac (I miss you Shadow Isles), though, do refer to the playstyle section
Playstyle and Combos
Auto attacks. Yes, that's it, okay fine its not that simple, I'll explain;
(Video descriptions/Italic text is a overall idea on how to perform the combo, you might need to add or remove some parts of it depending on your situation)
If do not have any items (i.e: only boots): Your skills are your main damage, do weave in autos every Q though. This is how you might do it:
Hit W > R > Auto > Q 1 > Auto > Q 2 > Auto > Q 3 > Disengage or keep auto attacking until enemy is dead/your Q is up again
If you have 1 to 2 items + boots: Weave auto attacks with your abilities. How much you should use your abilities? Dunno, it all comes to practice and how it feels, test the builds I provided before and see how they feel on you, if you like any and it feels really good; stick to it and keep playing the same build (do itemize though) to master it, that will get you a good sense of your attack speed. Example:
Auto > Proc BoRK slow > R > Auto > W > Auto > Q 1 > Auto > Q 2 > Auto > Q 3 > Auto > Auto > Auto, etc... (until enemy dead or Q is up)
Full build / 3 to 5 items; Mainly auto attack and use your Q only when the enemy is out of range, also use your W and E to chase as they are great tools for the job. Example:
Hit W > R > Auto > Auto > Auto > W duration is over > E backwards while Q 1 > Auto > Auto > Auto > Q 2 if enemy tries to escape > Auto > Auto > Auto > Q 3 Flash into enemy dogde prediction

Itemization
To put it simply, items have a little tooltip beneath their name which explains what the main feature of the item is:
Image above highlights the tooltip description of Kraken Slayer
As we can see above kraken slayer's prominent feature is ramping damage, this is really useful to know because countering something is like finding the antonym of a word:
Healing ; Anti Healing:

CC ; Anti-CC / Anti-Disable:
Image above highlights the tooltip description of Mercury's Treads
Burst ; Survive Burst:

(All items shown above are viable for your build, Mercury boots kind of suck though, go Wit's End instead if you can)

Pros and Cons
Pros ;
Cons ;
-
- High damage
- A lot of healing and sustain
- You can actually counter Irelia
- You can build BoRK which is amazing for tank-shred
- Mobile
- If you can reach them back-line good luck for them because you are a living tombstone-maker
- Can build Terminus to take far more advantage of your mixed damage types (magic and physical)
- Increased mixed damage (=check tips and tricks)
- In ARAM no one picks Aatrox in champion select, take that to your advantage lel
Cons ;
-
- Vulnerable to poke if you go full damage
- Highly vulnerable to slows and kiting unless you itemize correctly
- Unoptimal/almost useless if wrong itemization
- Useless if behind unless you are bruiser-ish
- Actually needs skill
- Aatrox
Tips and Tricks
Passive ;
Q ;
W ;
E ;
R ;
-
- Your passive's cooldown is reduced every time you auto attack (hence why its important to weave in autos while combo'ing), Guinsoo's helps with this as well
- Deals % magic damage
Q ;
-
- Your Q 2 has larger range if you cast it diagonally, use that to your advantage. Video:
W ;
-
- If you can, you should always combo it like this: W > E proemptly > W pulls > Any Q. Video:
E ;
-
- You can auto reset by: Auto > E near your character > Auto. Video:
R ;
-
- If you can help it, don't press R before a fight and hit your W first so you have a somewhat fail-proof of going in without wasting your ult
Ideal Synergies
Lulu ; Buffs your movement and attack speed
Jana ; Buffs your movement speed and gives you nice shields
Renata ; Amazing sinergy with her W (kill-or-die revive) which of also gives you attack and movement speed ramping up over a few seconds

Conclusion
Whether you go jg, Rift, ARAM, Aatrox is amazing at killing things that move without his permission, if you liked my guides check out my other ones on my profile, or just leave a vote, either way, thank you for you time
