Not that much of a problem, if he goes on you just q+AA+w and you'll outtrade him.
Zed
He cannot burst you.
Talon
If he jumps on you q+w him into your tower he will ff at 15. :)
Katarina
CC her if she tries to ult or do anything, also avoid her daggers.
Xerath
Xerath can outrange you and he will probably be a pain in the ass. Pick TP and play with you jungler.
LeBlanc
She has a lot of mobility up her sleeve so it can be tricky. Play around her abiltiies.
Fizz
Compared to Zed and Talon he can engage more easily and has certain means of escape, other than that he's a dead fish.
Azir
Really depends on how good he is, if he knows his tricks, he'll keep his range, watch out for his cooldowns and try to play around them.
Ekko
Ult his W and you should be out of trouble. Avoid his q and his passive early and you will outtrade him.
Annie
She can keep her distance without a problem, farm like it's nothing and has a CC up her sleeve, use TP and coordinate with your jungle.
Aurelion Sol
With his new rework he is a more of a threat as before. Make sure he does not get top farm and stack his passive, go in and out for trades, he cannot do much against you. After you leave him low, ping your jungle for help. I recomment Electrocute in this matchup.
Malzahar
Just ult his ult and you should be good, he has a lot of range which can be really annoying, just stay away from him and combo when he's out of abilities.
Ryze
It is a skill matchup, he has CC, mobility and can outtrade you at any step, try to catch him off-guard and attack with you jungle.
Orianna
Skill matchup entirely, fake engage constantly and make her think you will go in so she wastes abilities constantly.
Anivia
There really is not a lot to do against her, she will not deal a lot of damage though she will clear waves quickly and roam. Try to get to her early so she won't use her scaling to get the better of you.
Akali
Skill matchup entirely: she can W away of you but if she loses that privilege nothing can hold you back, unleash and outtrade the shit out of her. If she ults you w her into your tower.
Lux
She can q you if you go in and she can tank most of you damage, play around her cooldowns and try to avoid her q at all cost, be as unpredictable as it gets.
Ahri
If you go in she can easily charm you and full combo you, take TP and play it as safe as possible.
Syndra
She can poke you a lot but she won't do any significant damage, her ult can be countered by yours.
Veigar
If he cages you ult, immediately, you might even catch him off guard, if he ults you, ult. Your ult is your ace in the hole.
Ziggs
He does not deal a lot of damage despite him being ranged, just keep your distance and trade when necessary, try to freeze the wave under your tower for convenience.
Zoe
She heavily relies on her drowsy which you can counter with your ult, just dodge her q and you should be good.
Vel'Koz
If he hits his combo you're pretty dead, he has a lot of range (bigger than your combo) and his passive deals true damage which means your R won't get you out of it, yet still if he does full combo you and you R out of it you can interrupt it with your W so try doing that.
Cassiopeia
She can be very annoying since she pokes a lot, use your ult to counter hers and be unpredictable. Try to trade and get out as safe as possible.
Neeko
Just outtrade her, get in and get out, if you go in she might catch you with her root so try to play around her cooldowns and ult her ult.
Qiyana
If she tries to go in full trade her.
Lissandra
She can poke you if you try to go for a combo, she has all the means to escape, farming tools and plenty of CC to secure a kill with her jungle. Try to ult her CC and get some combos going. ASsuring lane dominance is key, but if you cannot, play it safe.
Amumu
I'm not gonna bother writing synergies, Alistar works perfectly with almost all junglers, his combo CC will allow your jungle to get some early kills (or you, be sure to steal them), which will allow you to render your midlane redundant.

Hello, my name is Cornifa, I've been playing since S4, I peaked D4 back in S8, and this is my guide to Alistar on mid.
Always hated, and always will hate assassins on midlane so, I thought that Alistar would be a great pick for mid, with the new changes this season brings, I decided to try different build and it turns out it could not have worked better so with that being said, I highly encourage you to play Alistar mid, surprisingly enough is very valid.
Have fun!
