Champion Build Guide
INTRODUCTION
My name's The Unf0rgiv3n or you can call me Dani. I'm a Diamond 2 peak player and a TWITCH streamer and mostly a Yasuo main with over 4.5 million points, but for the past few seasons, I've been maining Brand mid as well and I've managed to master the champion pretty well.
I hope this guide helps you decide what builds to go for in different situations, how easy or hard the match ups are and how to be as optimal as possible in your games
PROS & CONS
Here are the main advantages and disadvantages of BRAND:
PROS:
- Really high dot damage
- Can turn whole teamfights around with a single Ultimate
- Easy to land his highest damage abilities
CONS:
- No escape abilities, which makes his easy to gank
- Heavily relies on his Q early game for his full damage potential
- Very hard to carry games solo
- High skill cap
EARLY GAME
Early game, you'd want to focus on proper cs-ing and harassing your opponent at the same time with every opportunity you get. For a proper mana management, try to use your W + E combo only when there are at least 3 minions that are about to die, so you can get the cs, extend your passive onto your oppontent and get 70-80% of your mana back. Try not to overuse your abilities if you're not sure where the enemy jungler is, so you can always be prepared to defend yourself from a gank.
Only roam bot/toplane if you can shove the wave fast and you have vision in the river.
MID GAME
After you have completed Liandry's, your damage skyrockets. At that point, you can start looking for skirmishes by following your jungler to the sides where he's ganking.
Basically what you're trying to do is to get as much gold as possible from kills/assists in the shortest time possible and try to outscale everyone on the map. Make sure you're following the builds above to know what to go for in every situation and build optimally so you can have a chance to end the game before the enemy team even has a chance to scale!
LATE GAME
Once you've completed your full build and both teams are just looking for an opportunity to teamfight that could potentially be a game deciding one, make sure you're NOT on the frontline. Stay behind to safety and wait for a good opportunity to inflict as much damage as possible in the teamfight.
The best way to do that is to start with R on the closest target that your team is focusing, then press E to spread it around to everyone else on the enemy team who's nearby and try to hit as many champions as you can with your W at the end. DO NOT risk to throw your Q to stun someone unless they are already hard CC locked. It's the hardest skillshot to hit, so make sure that when you use it, it will hit 100%! If you time your abilities right, you can keep everyone on the enemy team burning throughout the whole teamfight and manage to proc your passive at least twice before it's over, but make sure to always keep a safe distance from being hard engaged by multiple people!
Conclusion
In conclusion, Brand is not an easy champion to play at all and he's currently not the most optimal pick for Midlane, especially since there are A LOT of very hard match ups for him and he's a very easy target to gank, but if played correctly, he has a very high carry potential because of his insane passive damage and he can easily turn what would look like a lost teamfight into a winning one!
