good tier list, allthough having champs like leona and rell in lowest risk is a bit iffy, remember those go all in , if ur adc in lower elos does not follow u usually die ...alot , then fall behind majorly. ofc theire good just they can backfire

As a Xerath support player I feel somewhat offended by Xerath being in the last possible tier, it is a really good support

Don't be; snowball/carry supports are typically underweighted on this list.

It isnt because they arent good supports, but because their value and output is heavily reliant on their %gold -- this is probably most apparent in starved and drawn out games such as those with premades/clash/flex.

thus it isnt to say that those champions aren't good -- in fact it is indisputable that many players climb and consistently play these champions at the highest level. The main purpose of this list is therefore more-so to benchmark the current strength of supports in a different way from FOTM tier lists that update/change frequently &c. &c.; Tldr: this list attempts at objectively gauging certain consistency with competitive supports (champions), so even with infrequent changes to the list (nerfs/buffs patch-to-patch), the pool will still retain relative accuracy.

Isn't Shaco technically a support?

Yes but he is a pure disengage and chip damage so all you have to do is not engage and you outscale him.

Yeah this tier list is a bit confusing. Braum, Shen, Tahm, and Yuumi are waaaay too high on the tier list. Those picks are outclassed by other champions and are pretty fringe picks to begin with. Also, as much as it pains me to say, Sett is gutted and is a horrible support at the moment. Brand is very low on the tier list which is wierd because the latest 10.22 buffs skyrocketed his win rate and made him extremely strong.

Why is Shen so high tier ??

Yeah it's really good, can be in lane in seconds bc of his R and also protects the adc, most important Shen is really fun to play
