Champion Build Guide
PROS AND CONS
Dr. Mundo is currently a scaling juggernaut with an extremely weak early game compared to other champions in the top lane. He's a champion with significant CONS to handle but also boasts very strong PROS
PROS:
VERY STRONG LATE GAME AND SCALING
GOOD 1V9
REALLY STRONG SPLIT PUSH FOR A TANK
CONS:
IT HAS THE WORST LANE PHASE IN TOP LANE
DR. MUNDO HAS A FEW COMPLETELY UNPLAYABLE MATCHUPS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE META SHIFTS TOWARDS TANK KILLERS.
IS A TANK WITHOUT CC
early game
Dr. Mundo has a very weak laning phase, especially when compared to other top lane champions. He can be outtraded in lane if he doesn't play perfectly and hit all of his cleavers, which is rarely possible. However, he scales well and can win most fights in the late game. It's important to prioritize experience even if it means giving up some farm. When facing a slowly pushing enemy wave, try to thin it out with cleavers and by pushing a minion with "E". Be cautious of tower dives when a large minion wave is about to crash into your tower. As for "W", you can activate it right before the enemy uses their main damage to stack more grey health in the first 0.25 seconds. Try to reactivate "W" on the enemy champion whenever possible as it restores double the health if it hits the target. It's best to focus on scaling and defending during the laning phase.
mid game
AROUND LEVEL 11, CONSIDERING THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE HEARTSTEEL, ALWAYS TRY TO LOOK FOR FIGHTS TO STACK AND SCALE IN THE GAME. HEARTSTEEL IS A VERY STRONG POWER SPIKE ON MUNDO; IT'S WHERE THE CHAMPION BEGINS TO BECOME POWERFUL.
late game
BY NOW, YOU SHOULD ALREADY BE LEVEL 16, AND DR. MUNDO'S LEVEL 16 ULTIMATE IS ONE OF THE STRONGEST IN THE GAME. YOU'RE PRACTICALLY IMMORTAL, AND IN ADDITION, YOU WILL HAVE SCALING AND WILL DEAL GOOD DAMAGE WITH HEARTSTEEL + E + TITANIC.
AT THIS POINT of the game, if you've scaled correctly, you can simply advance and easily eliminate the enemy backline. If the enemy team's backline isn't reachable, you might consider positioning yourself to protect your team's frontline, absorbing damage so they can deal damage, always being at the frontline.

hyper late game
Your scaling starts to slow down at this point unless you manage your heartsteel stacks really well, and you can no longer stat check entire teams by yourself, as the adc will now start to shred you if you arent careful. You are still incredibly strong, but you need to play with your team backing you up, or commit fully to split pushing, but not be as cocky as you could be at 3 items level 16 where you can ignore multiple enemies and just slaughter towers.
