Would Ekko make a viable support?

As the questions asks, would Ekko make a viable support? I enjoy supporting with non-support champions. I've tried supporting as Ekko recently, it's enjoyable but I don't build it correctly so I can say whether it is viable or not.
This is just my opinion though. I mean it can and probably works somewhat decently but I don't think he is great at supporting.
Plus what you said: high mana costs, high CDs. You can try and make some cheesy plays, but against competent players it sounds terrible
Those being....
His high mana cost is high due to the amount of CC and DMG he puts out. So he would not be poking as often as say Sona.
His kit does require him to be in melee so this means that the ADC needs to be able to get in close when needed. Graves Ez etc...
Lastly Ekko bot would not be a bot lane of 'i am going to let the adc have all the kills' it would instead be 'Lets just kill them'
So...
Is Ekko a quote 'support'?... No
Is Ekko good bot lane?... Yes all depending on the lane setup and whos there.
P.S Build him just like you build any AP/Fighter/Tank depending on how you wish to play him that game.
Ekko does make a good support.
Right now, his ap ratio's are very high and his passive damage is very high. until it gets nerfed he can out trade pretty much anyone if played properly. Down in bototm lane ekko and a good adc can easily get a double kill at level 3. line up his stuns properly and jump in to half the target while your adc follows up while they are slowed. at level 6 you can dive towers as ekko while tanking the turret since you can ult out, up until they nerfed his w, you could scan bushes with it instantly. but that has been removed. over all, yes, i think right now, ekko would make a viable support for a kill lane set up. Building him with traditional support items would not be the way to go however since he has no buffs or debuffs to throw out.
